Samsung's first Symbian OS handset, a clamshell Series 60 device with rotating digital camera and 65,000 colour screen. The SGH-D700 supports video messaging and MP3 music playback.
The tri-band GPRS handset has a wide range of features, including a WAP browser, POP3/IMAP e-mail, MMS client, SyncML and memory card slot. It can also be synchronised with a desktop PC over a USB connection.
Software-wise, the the SGH-D700 shares a number of applications with Nokia's 7650 and 3650 models, but also offers more functionality in some areas. The SGH-D700 joins the Nokia 3650, 7650, N-Gage and Siemens SX1 as officially announced Symbian Series 60 devices.
