The SGH-S100 phone is one of the very first in the world to include a 65K-colour screen, which brings the possibility of true colour support on mobile phones one step closer (well, 65,000 colours is not far off already, and it’s a big step from 4096!) One of the more probable reasons why such a colour screen would be the Java support the S100 will provide for its user - allowing the download of small applets that can be executed directly from your handset (after the quick download from your GPRS service).
S100 one of the first Samsung phone with tri-band compatibility (GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz) - . Other features of this phone include support for EMS (enhanced messaging service) messages, 16 polyphonic ringtones, and IrDA connectivity.
