Introduction / Preview : Toshiba TS705
The Toshiba TS705’s modem and push email functions enable users to keep in constant touch with business contacts, and support for Bluetooth™ and USB ensures that appointments and contacts can be easily synchronised with your PC. This UMTS phone can also handle video conferencing, thanks to its handy rotating camera. Entertainment is provided by the built-in MP3 player that transforms the TS705 into a mobile jukebox, with the option of a microSD card to extend the TS705’s memory capacity and the number of songs it can store.
Toshiba has bridged the gap between business phone and fun mobile with the TS705, its first UMTS “candy bar“ style phone. Available in a smart black or silver, the TS705 has a classic design that’s beautifully proportioned to fit in the hand.
The rotating camera is the ideal tool for making video calls and the high definition display means that the caller’s image can be viewed in glorious colour. Fast access to corporate email via the TS705’s modem capability and support for push email also ensures that mails can be sent anytime and anywhere. With support for Bluetooth™, connection can be quickly and easily made from the TS705 to other Bluetooth™ compatible devices such as a headset or laptop.
Of course, the 262,000 colours of the TFT display are equally at home for more entertaining applications. The 1.8 inch sized display, boasting realistic colour and clear detail, enables photos or home videos taken with the high quality 1.3 mega pixel camera to be viewed, or shared with friends via MMS or email. Music fans will also feel at home with the high quality MP3 player on the TS705, with either 10MB of internal memory or an optional microSD card to store all their favourite tracks on.
