MOTOStore opens in KLCC
04 September 2007 – Motorola today officially announced the opening of its first concept store – MOTOSTORE, in Malaysia, at Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).
The MOTOSTORE was designed for consumers to learn and experience the integration of mobile technology. It showcases Motorola’s most innovative and exciting mobility products catering to people who want to seamlessly merge their busy lifestyles with their 24/7 communications needs.
At the MOTOSTORE, knowledgeable and highly trained salespeople are available to help consumers learn about all the latest products from Motorola, including the newly designed MOTORAZR2 V8. The hands-on MOTOSTORE experience provides visitors with a chance to test Motorola’s entire product line, thereby creating a deeply experiential environment and bringing to life Motorola’s vision of seamless mobility – anytime, anywhere.
“Motorola has always been about the consumers. The MOTOSTORE was particularly designed to help consumers get more out of their Motorola products. We want to create an environment in which consumers are free and relaxed to explore our products and choose what is best for them,” said Eric Chong, Country Manager, Motorola Mobile Devices Business, Malaysia.
“By doing so, we hope to achieve our vision of ‘Seamless Mobility’ – where people can connect, communicate and enjoy content anytime, anywhere, regardless of what device they’re using or what network they’re on,” he added.
The MOTOSTORE is mainly divided into three zones – MOTOICON, MOTOCONNECT and MOTOSPRESSION - all centered on the consumer. The MOTOICON zone is located at the centre of the store to engage and display iconic products. Here, revolving round iconic pods are placed to hold the products and encourage consumers to play and interact with the products.
Located adjacent to the MOTOICON zone is the MOTOCONNECT zone. Here, ‘live’ product usage and accessories are demonstrated, enabling consumers to see how the products seamlessly connect with each other and in-turn how it connects with their lives. Located slightly further in is the MOTOSPRESSION zone - an area for store visitors to relax and hang out. Here, consumers have the freedom to download content, charge and personalise their Motorola phones.
“MOTOSTORE marks a new milestone for Motorola. It underscores the focus on improving the mobile retail experience for consumers in Malaysia,” said Chong.
Motorola will be holding a promotional lucky draw for customers who purchase any product at the MOTOSTORE till 30th September 2007. Each purchase receipt entitles the customer to take part in the lucky draw. Among the prizes up for grabs are a Motorola Q8, a MOTORAZR V3i, a MOTOSLVR L6i and a few Bluetooth headsets.
